Diplomatic relations with Austria
The Republic of Austria recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 15 January 1992. Diplomatic relations between two states were established on 20 February 1992. On 1 September 1995 the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Vienna began its work and on 22 June 2010 with the participation of the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Mr. Michael Spindelegger and Federal Minister of Economy, Family and Youth Mr. R. Mitterlehner the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Baku was inaugurated. 39 bilateral documents have been signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Austria.
Diplomatic relations with Slovakia
The Slovak Republic recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 24 January 1992. Diplomatic relations between two states were established on 23 November 1993.7 bilateral documents have been signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Slovak Republic. In Slovakia Azerbaijan is represented by the Honorary Consul with residence in Bratislava. Diplomatic relations with Slovenia The Republic of Slovenia recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 27 December 1991. Diplomatic relations between two states were established on 20 February 1996. 10 bilateral documents have been signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Slovenia. In Slovenia Azerbaijan is represented by the Embassy’s Office with residence in Ljubljana.
