History of the Karabakh Khanate presented at the Austrian National Library
A presentation of a book and exhibition on the history of the Garabagh Khanate was held at the Austrian National Library in the Hofburg Palace complex in Vienna.
The book Karabakh Khanate: Historical and Cultural Profile, published in five languages at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was co-authored by researchers from the Georgian National Museum (GMM).
Rovshan Sadigbayli, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Austria, and Irmgard Harrer, Curator of the Austrian National Library—one of Europe's major cultural and historical centers—made opening speeches at the event.
Elshad Iskanderov, Ambassador for Special Assignments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tebrone Nadiradze, Deputy Chief Curator of the National Museum of Georgia, Daniyel Pommier Vincelli, a researcher at the Sapienza University of Rome, Michael Reinhard Hess, an Associate Professor at the Giesen University in Germany and Turkologist delivered speeches on the Garabagh Khanate.
At the end of the event, the book was presented to the Austrian National Library and the participants of the event.
